The journey from seedling to being a tree
Writing this article is more like talking my heart out to my fellow neighbours. This is
information and explanation. Breaking the trending Myths. Scratching the tail -to- killing of Dragon called pain. Breaking the barriers of limitations called dysfunctions. Will try my best to put forth the best of my knowledge with facts and experience wherever I can.
Human body is unique. it’s simple if you use a macroscopic approach. and very complex as you
start looking for minutes of it, which very often than not are insignificant. We need to stop the race of trying to make things work according to us when they can work by themselves naturally and way better.” we only need to nurture the needs of the body.”
Physiotherapy or physical therapy is an umbrella term covering almost every aspect of the human body(though now we can also have a separate talk on veterinary Physiotherapy)
” It’s holistic well-being of the beneficiary.”
Knee pain might not be because of the joint, an ACL strain or a ligament injury could actually
be a mal- alignment of the fall of weight through the leg or it could simply be an imbalance of
the acting and supporting muscle of the knee. A frozen shoulder might actually be a chest muscle tightness or simply the soft connective
tissue (fascia) adhesion around an organ or a scar.
This brings me to the most underrated and ill-informed topic-‘SCAR’.
SCAR IS ANY MARK FORMED ‘ON’ OR ‘IN’ BODY DUE TO TRAUMA.
_Could be physical or emotional_
Scar leads to a change in body dynamics and function. Which leads to a state of temporary or
permanent compensation. Leading to a postural or behavioural pattern. hence arises the
dysfunction.which can at any point of time lead to a function inhibition or failure.
An example can be, an open heart surgery giving us a sternal scar (the one on the middle of the chest
up to abdomen). Very effectively 8/1 0 cases develop pectoral tightness hence inward rotated
shoulder, hence scapular winging, henceforward neck posture, COG(Center of gravity) falling
forward, hence mid and lower back strain, hence more strain on prevention of fall, hence
quadriceps overriding hence fatigue hence knee pain and difficulty in climbing stairs. and hence
collapsed foot arches. all of the above could be standalone issues or could be interdependent.
all require cause correction that is SCAR rehabilitation.
